Unexplained Object Found at the Bottom of the Baltic

Ancient UFO Relics In Baltic Sea? 2012 – YouTube.
Anyone who–like me–is inclined toward interest in the mysterious, unusual, even paranormal will find this irresistible: a mysterious object some 196 feet across has been found at the bottom of the Baltic Sea, about 400 feet beneath the surface. It’s the kind of thing that would send Michael Crichton to his word processor, were he still alive. From Yahoo News:
[Amateur treasure hunter Peter] Lindberg says the ship theory doesn’t really hold up because of the unusually large size of the objects. “Of course it would be something from another ship but it’s quite big,” he told CNN. Lindberg notes that some observers have speculated that the objects may be Russian warships built around the end of the 1800′s. However, Lindberg points out that not only were those ships much smaller, they were not patrolling the Baltic during that era.
This has been in the news since July, so it’s hard to believe no one’s figured it out yet. Then again, one way some people perpetuate their careers or whatever it is they think will make them famous is by ensuring an aura of mystery clings to their endeavors. That Peter Lindberg is described as an “amateur” treasure hunter makes me a little suspicious.
