So, my 8-year-old is home now. Threw up at school and has thrown up again since she got home. She's flushed, running a fever and has a runny nose. All Swine Flu symptoms. Whoopee! It's that season around our house again.

… I would have bad dreams. Lots of them, I think. When I would wake from those dreams, I would turn on a lamp and look for the funniest book I owned – a cartoon paperback of the sort I don't even think they make anymore, much of the time. I'd read it till I had a few good laughs. Until I calmed down.

Fuck if I'm going on 42 and haven't changed a damned bit. Only now I have Adult Swim.
